Jan Suchomski, a certified Mindjet trainer, author of the BizSmart LLC
Small Business Planner (a MindManager add-in), and self prescribed Mind
Manager junkie.
Here is a brief version of her background...
I learned about MindManager (MM) back in 2000, when I was surfing the
web in search of some "artificial intelligence like" software. By
accident, I found MM instead. Upon downloading the trial version, I
immediately realized it could be very helpful for creating visual
business plans. (I spent a year of my life writing business plans for a
living, so believe me I needed this tool more than most!)
Fast forward a year and a half, and in mid 2002, the BizSmart LLC Small
Business Planner was introduced. At that point in time, I was using MM
about one time every week or two. I did author the entire content of the
software on MindManager 4.0 and MindManager 2002, but still didn't
really understand true impact and business changing capability of the
software.
One day I was working with a colleague who uses visuals 90% instead of
text. I noticed I was feeling quite comfortable with him. Then, it
dawned on me, I am a visual learner! From that point on - early 2003,
I've used MM software nearly every single day. I've also come to realize
the way I use the software is a way of life, and a way of thinking for
me. (For others, this software is just a tool.) It allows me to
hash out half baked ideas effortlessly, to effectively and efficiently
create plans, and to use both my linear thinking mind and to use and
grow my conceptual, creative mind - ALL at the same time.
I use the software to expand and grow my business (for planning, for
creating presentations, for getting focused, for brainstorming, and for
displaying information visually). I also use the software to organize my
personal life (everything from running schedule, to food logs).
In the past year, I've had the pleasure of working with and training
individuals on MM from Coca Cola Enterprises, Booz Allen Hamilton,
and Hagerty Insurance Agency, to name a few. I've seen how the software
can be used to increase productivity in corporate environments,
AND also greatly impact already innovative small companies.
In addition to individual, group, and customized training, I provide
